NASS crop progress data showed 92% of the U.S. winter wheat crop had headed by June 7, 7% ahead of normal. Harvest was 11% complete, above the 6% average pace. Good to excellent condition ratings fell 1% to 25%, and the Brugler500 index dropped 6 points to 263.
Spring wheat planting is 98% complete, 3% ahead of normal, with 87% emerged, 7% faster than average. Good to excellent ratings rose 5% to 52%, and the Brugler500 index increased 7 points to 350.
For the week ending June 4, wheat export inspections totaled 319,730 MT (11.75 million bushels), including 216,195 MT for the new crop marketing year. Weekly shipments were down 20.65% from the prior week and 1.38% below the same week last year. Mexico was the top buyer at 83,211 MT, followed by Indonesia at 44,104 MT and Venezuela at 40,448 MT. Marketing year-to-date shipments for 2025/26 reached 23.997 MMT (877.9 million bushels), up 9.13% from the previous year.
Ukraine’s APK-Inform increased the country’s wheat production estimate to 21.7 MMT, up 1.8 MMT from the previous forecast. A South Korean importer purchased 19,500 MT of U.S. wheat last week.
