2025: CPO prices may trend RM 4,000-5,000/ton
CPOPC forecasts that palm oil prices will range between RM 4,000-5,000/tonne (US$899-US$1,124) in 2025, due to production declines in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Increasing global demand and reduced production may lead to supply shortages, driving prices higher.
Malaysia's floods have further boosted market sentiment.
Limited expansion of plantations, aging crops, and unpredictable weather are expected to put additional pressure on prices.
Indonesia Palm production, export and Stock figures
Indonesia exported 2.89 million metric tons of palm oil in October, down from 3.01 million tons last year but up from 2.26 million tons in September.
The country produced 4.42 million tons of crude palm oil in October, a 10% increase from the previous month.
Palm oil stocks stood at 2.51 million tons at the end of October, lower than 2.62 million tons in September, due to increased domestic consumption.
