बजट से चावल उद्योग की उम्मीदें
★ चावल निर्यात पूरी तरह खोले जाना या फिर मौजूदा नियमों में ढील देना।
★ किसानों की आय बढाने के लिए चावल निर्यात जरुरी। या तो निर्यात पूरी तरह खोला जाए या फिर निर्यात नियम में ढील बरती जाए।
★ खराब चावल का इस्तमाल एथनोल बनाने में किये जाना।
★ उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए सिंचाई व्यवस्था में सुधार व नए बीज की उपलब्धता।
★ बासमती चावल की MIP जो 950$/टन है को घटाना।

Rice industry's expectations from the budget
★ Complete opening of rice export or relaxation of existing rules.
★ Rice export is necessary to increase the income of farmers. Either export should be completely opened or export rules should be relaxed.
★ Use of damaged rice to make ethanol.
★ Improvement in irrigation system and availability of new seeds to increase production.
★ Reduction of MIP of Basmati rice which is 950$/ton.
