India Imposes Complete Import Ban on Pakistan-Origin Goods
★ The Indian government has imposed an immediate ban on the import of all items manufactured or produced in Pakistan.
★ In addition, imports of Pakistan-origin goods through third countries such as Dubai and Singapore are also prohibited.
★ India had been importing dates, cotton, walnuts, dry dates, pistachios, and figs from Pakistan via these indirect routes.
★ With the import ban in place, prices of these commodities are expected to rise.
