Indian Exports of Food and Agricultural Products Continue Unabated

New Delhi. India exports a wide range of important agricultural and food products to various countries around the world, including rice, pulses, groundnuts, guar gum, jaggery and sugar, processed cashews, maize, millets, walnuts, and wheat. Exports continue uninterrupted, generating substantial foreign exchange for the country.
According to data from the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), a body under the Central Ministry of Commerce, during the first eight months of the current financial year, i.e., April-November 2025, India exported 9,256,827 tonnes of non-basmati rice, 4,074,098 tonnes of basmati rice, 14,485 tonnes of wheat, 383,646 tonnes of maize, 190,694 tonnes of milled products, 92,946 tonnes of millets, and 14,643 tonnes of other cereals to various countries worldwide.
In addition, during the period under review, the country exported 625,018 tonnes of pulses, 432,535 tonnes of groundnuts, 323,033 tonnes of guar gum, 344,388 tonnes of jaggery and confectionery, 22,132 tonnes of processed cashew kernels,
61,603 tonnes of roasted and value-added cashew nuts, and 22,515 tonnes of cashew nut shell liquid. Exports of walnuts were recorded at 909 tonnes, and betel leaves and areca nuts at 2,651 tonnes.
India also exports oil meals, oilseeds, sugar, spices, and cotton, among other products. However, these are not included in APEDA's export monitoring list. It is noteworthy that India is the world's leading exporter of rice and guar gum.
