जुलाई में बारिश औसत से 7% अधिक
★ 1 जुलाई से 21 जुलाई तक देश भर में हुई अच्छी बारिश, जून में बारिश औसत से 11% कम थी।
★ देश के 16 राज्यों में बारिश सामान्य, 10 राज्यों में औसत से अधिक तथा 4 राज्यों में (बिहार, पंजाब, हरियाणा, झारखण्ड) में औसत से कम।
★ दक्षिण प्रायद्वीप के केरल, तमिलनाडु, आंध्र प्रदेश, तेलंगाना, कर्नाटक में 1-21 जुलाई तक बारिश औसत से 42%, पश्चिम बंगाल, बिहार, झारखण्ड, पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों में सामान्य से 19% अधिक, मध्य भारत, महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, छत्तीसगढ़, उड़ीसा, गोवा में औसत से 16% अधिक।
★ पंजाब, हरियाणा, उत्तर प्रदेश, उत्तराखंड, राजस्थान, जम्मू कश्मीर, हिमाचल प्रदेश में बारिश इन 21 दिनों में औसत से 4.7% रही कम।
★ अच्छी बारिश होने के कारण धान, दलहन, तिलहन, गन्ना, की बिजाई में बढ़ोत्तरी।
★ मोटे अनाज व कपास की बिजाई धीमी पड़ी, मोटे अनाजों में पानी की जरुरत कम रहती है तथा अन्य फसलों के दाम अधिक होने से बिजाई घटी हालाँकि मक्का बिजाई गत वर्ष से अधिक दर्ज की गयी।
★ कपास की बिजाई समाप्ति की ओर, घटे भावों के कारण कई राज्यों में बिजाई भी घटी।

★ आंध्र प्रदेश के NTR और कृष्णा जिलों में अधिक बारिश से बाढ़ आई। कई क्षेत्रों में धान की फसल डूबी।
★ नदियों में जलस्तर बढ़ने के कारण गेट खोले गये जिससे उपरोक्त इलाकों में बाढ़ आई।
★ धान के अलावा अन्य खरीफ फसल भी डूबी।
★ मौसम विभाग ने आंध्र प्रदेश के कई क्षेत्रों में बारिश का येलो अलर्ट जारी किया।
★ रविवार को कई क्षेत्रों में पहले से ही अधिक बारिश हो चुकी है।
★ तेलंगाना के वारंगल जिले में पिछले 2 दिनों से हो रही बारिश से निम्न इलाकों में पानी रुकने लगा, इन इलाकों में खरीफ फसलें डूबी। आदिलाबाद जिले में भी यही स्थिति।
★ दक्षिण उड़ीसा में हो रही बारिश से नदी का जलस्तर बढ़ा।
★ गत सप्ताह गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र संभाग जिसमें पोरबंदर जामनगर जूनागढ़ शामिल है में अत्यधिक बारिश देखी गयी।
★ गुजरात की 55 तालुकाओं में लगातार हो रही है बारिश।

Rainfall in July was 7% above average
★ Good rainfall occurred across the country from 1st July to 21st July, rainfall in June was 11% below average.
★ Rainfall was normal in 16 states of the country, above average in 10 states and below average in 4 states (Bihar, Punjab, Haryana, Jharkhand).
★ Rainfall from 1st to 21st July in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka of South Peninsula was 42% above average, 19% above normal in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, North Eastern states, 16% above average in Central India, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Goa.
★ Rainfall in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh was 4.7% below average in these 21 days.
★ Due to good rainfall, sowing of paddy, pulses, oilseeds, sugarcane increased.
★ Sowing of coarse cereals and cotton slowed down, coarse cereals require less water and sowing decreased due to high prices of other crops, however maize sowing was recorded higher than last year.
★ Cotton sowing is coming to an end, sowing also decreased in many states due to low prices.

★ Heavy rains caused floods in NTR and Krishna districts of Andhra Pradesh. Paddy crops were submerged in many areas.
★ Due to rising water level in the rivers, the gates were opened, which caused floods in the above areas.
★ Apart from paddy, other Kharif crops also got submerged.
★ The Meteorological Department issued a yellow alert for rain in many areas of Andhra Pradesh.
★ Many areas have already received heavy rains on Sunday.
★ Due to the rains in Warangal district of Telangana for the last 2 days, water started stagnating in the following areas, Kharif crops got submerged in these areas. Same situation in Adilabad district.
★ Due to rains in South Odisha, the water level of the river increased.
★ Last week, heavy rains were seen in Saurashtra division of Gujarat, which includes Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh.
★ It's raining continuously in 55 talukas of Gujarat.
