Kandla Port tops in rice exports
Kandla Port in India has recently set a new benchmark in rice exports, topping national figures. In the past month, it exported a record 3.43 lakh tonnes of rice, surpassing the previous record of 3.06 lakh tonnes set in March 2022. This achievement underscores the port's growing importance in global trade.

In addition to rice, Kandla Port has excelled in exports of a range of other products. From April to September, the port facilitated the export of 731.6 lakh tonnes of cargo, showcasing a consistent upward trend in its overall export activities. The figure compares favorably with the 713.9 lakh tonnes exported during the same period last year, further solidifying Kandla Port’s position as a key player in India's export sector.

This surge in export activity at Kandla is not just limited to rice but includes a variety of other commodities, highlighting the port's capability to handle diverse cargo volumes.
