The current year is headed towards becoming the hottest year ever

Philadelphia. The US weather agency - NOAA has increased the probability level of 2024 becoming the hottest year ever.
It says that it has been undoubtedly decided that the current year will be included in the list of the hottest 10 years ever while there is a 59 percent probability that it can become the hottest year ever. The weather agency has estimated on the basis of the temperature of the half year of January-June 2024 that the current year can be the hottest globally.
It is worth noting that till this period, the effect of El Niño weather cycle was still there due to which the weather remained hot in Asian countries and the rainfall was less.
In its monthly climate report, the agency has increased the probability level of 2024 being the hottest year from 50 percent in June to 59 percent now.
According to the agency, the probability of 2024 being included in the list of hottest 5 years has become 100 percent.
According to the agency, the year 2024 has been confirmed to be one of the highest global temperatures since 1988. If the temperature remains high at this rate in the half year of July-December 2024, then it will become the hottest year.
The effect of El Nino weather cycle has ended and now the formation of La Nina weather cycle is being monitored.
According to the agency, at present, none of the two weather cycles is active and neutral conditions prevail.
There is a 70 percent chance of formation of La Nina weather cycle during August to October 2024. It can become active in the Northern Hemisphere during winter.
