Delhi – Rajasthan/Uttar Pradesh:
In Delhi, wheat prices rose from ₹2645 per quintal on 29 April to ₹2680 per quintal by 05 May. This steady increase signals firm demand in the region.
Jabalpur:
Prices in Jabalpur remained unchanged at ₹2500 per quintal throughout the week, indicating a balanced supply-demand situation.
Kota (Mill Quality):
In Kota, mill-quality wheat saw a slight decline from ₹2425 to ₹2411 per quintal. However, prices briefly touched ₹2430 on two occasions during the week, suggesting short-term fluctuations.
Shahjahanpur:
Shahjahanpur witnessed the sharpest rise in prices, from ₹2461 to ₹2500 per quintal, reflecting strong local demand or active procurement.
Wheat arrivals continue across the country, and government procurement is gaining momentum.
As IGrain India has highlighted in earlier reports, prices had reached their bottom and are now showing signs of upward movement.
However, comparing current prices with last year’s high levels may not be realistic.
