130 Lakh Tonnes of Wheat Procured in Punjab: Food and Civil Supplies Minister
★ The Punjab government announced that the entire 130.03 lakh metric tonnes of wheat that arrived in the mandis has been procured.
★ Out of this, 119.24 LMT was purchased by the state government, while 10.80 LMT was bought by private traders.
★ The minister stated that 104.51 LMT of wheat has already been lifted from the mandis, and the remaining stock will be cleared in the coming days.
★ It is noteworthy that during the 2021-22 wheat procurement season, Punjab had recorded a purchase of 132.22 LMT of wheat.
