Announcement to make the report of MSP panel public soon

New Delhi. The Union Agriculture Minister has announced that the report of the committee constituted on Minimum Support Price (MSP) for various crops will be released publicly soon.
The government had constituted this committee after withdrawing the three controversial agricultural laws. Giving information about the achievements of the first 100 days of the current tenure of the new government,
the Agriculture Minister said that many steps are being taken to improve the participation of farmers and to modernize the agriculture sector.
This also includes starting the practice of 'Modern Agriculture Chaupal' in which agricultural scientists will provide new information to the farmers.
The broadcast of this program will start on Doordarshan and All India Radio from October 2024. Similarly, the Agriculture Minister will hold discussions with farmers and farmer leaders in the Agriculture Ministry on a weekly basis under the 'Kisan Samvad' campaign.
Regarding the technology of HTBT cotton awaiting regulatory approval, the Agriculture Minister said that it is a very sensitive matter and it will be approved only after extensive deliberations and consultations.
Regarding the report of the MSP panel, the Agriculture Minister said that the report has not been fully prepared yet but the committee is continuously working seriously on it.
When the report is ready, it will be released publicly. It is noteworthy that more than two dozen meetings and workshops have been organized so far by this committee headed by the Union Agriculture Secretary.
