Brazil is expected to export 460,000 tons of soybean oil next year

Paranagua. Brazil, located in Latin America, is the world's largest producer and exporter of soybeans, and also exports significant quantities of soybean oil and soymeal.
According to a leading analytical firm, soybean production in Brazil is expected to jump from a record level of 171.8 million tons in the 2024-25 season to an all-time high of 178.5 million tons in the 2025-26 season. Consequently, soybean exports could also increase from 109.5 million tons to 111 million tons.
According to the analyst firm, soybean crushing and processing in Brazil is expected to increase by 2 million tons from 58.5 million tons in the current season to 60.5 million tons in the next marketing season,
which will increase soybean oil production from 11.7 million tons to 12.1 million tons, and soybean meal production from 45.1 million tons to a new record high of 46.6 million tons.
This will result in an increase in exportable stocks of soybean oil and soybean meal. According to the analyst firm, Brazil is expected to export 2.36 million tons of soybean oil in the current marketing season of 2024-25, while shipments are expected to increase by 1 million tons to 2.46 million tons in the 2025-26 season.
Despite this, soybean oil imports into Brazil are projected to increase by 25 percent, reaching a peak level of 1.25 million tons.
The Brazilian soybean complex is expected to reach peak performance on all fronts in the 2025-26 marketing season. Currently, sowing of this important oilseed is in full swing, and acreage is expected to increase slightly.
Weather conditions are expected to be favorable for sowing and harvest. If conditions remain favorable, harvest preparations for the new soybean crop will begin in the first or second week of January 2026. China remains the largest buyer of Brazilian soybeans.
