Cardamom - Strong Growth in Exports

New Delhi. Due to a decrease in cardamom production in Guatemala, Indian cardamom exports have seen a significant increase during the current season. According to data released by the Spices Board, cardamom exports increased by 96 percent in the first eight months of 2025-26, while revenues increased by 132 percent. According to information received, cardamom exports during April-November 2025 amounted to 8,648 tons, with export revenues of ₹2115.81 crore. In April-November 2024, exports were 4,402 tons, with revenues of ₹913.67 crore. Total cardamom exports during 2024-25 (April-March) amounted to 6,728 tons. Given the current situation, it is expected that cardamom exports could reach new record levels during the current season. Earlier, in the year 2021-22, the record export of small cardamom was 10571 tonnes.
