चावल निर्यात मामले में भारत व पाकिस्तान के बीच नई जंग शुरू
★ बीते शनिवार को सरकार ने गैर बासमती चावल निर्यात पर लगी पाबंदी में छूट दी थी जिसे देख पाकिस्तान ने भी अगले दिन MEP जो बासमती चावल के लिए 1300$/टन और गैर बासमती के लिए 550$/टन थी को घटाया।
★ भारत द्वारा गत वर्ष बासमती व गैर बासमती चावल के निर्यात नियमों को कड़े किये जाने के बाद पाकिस्तान से निर्यात बढ़ा था।
★ चावल की कुल निर्यात मामले में भारत की हिस्सेदारी 40% तथा बासमती चावल निर्यात में 65% रहती है जबकि पाकिस्तान की थाईलैंड व वियतनाम के बाद 35% रहती हैं।
★ 2022-23 में 45 लाख टन चावल का किया गया था भारत से निर्यात।
★ जुलाई से जून 2024 तक पाकिस्तान से चावल निर्यात 60% बढ़कर 60 लाख टन पहुंचा जिसमें बासमती चावल की मात्रा 7.5 लाख टन है।
★ बीते सीजन में पाकिस्तान में चावल उत्पादन 98 लाख टन हुआ था जो इस सीजन में बढ़कर 100 लाख टन से अधिक बैठ सकता है।

★ मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने चालू खरीफ सीजन में 46 लाख टन धान खरीद लक्ष्य रखा, पंजीयन 4 अक्टूबर तक होगा। अभी तक 1.95 लाख किसानों ने पंजीयन कराया।
★ नए रूल के अनुसार सीधे उपार्जन केंद्र से मिलर्स को मिलिंग के लिए धान दिया जाएगा।
★ हरियाणा में MSP पर धान की खरीद शुरू। 02 अक्टूबर तक 46 हजार टन धान ख़रीदा गया।

New war begins between India and Pakistan in rice export case
★ Last Saturday, the government had relaxed the ban on non-Basmati rice export, seeing which Pakistan also reduced MEP the next day which was 1300 $ / ton for Basmati rice and 550 $ / ton for non-Basmati.
★ Exports from Pakistan increased after India tightened the export rules for Basmati and non-Basmati rice last year.
★ India's share in total rice exports is 40% and 65% in Basmati rice exports, while Pakistan's share is 35% after Thailand and Vietnam.
★ In 2022-23, 45 lakh tonnes of rice was exported from India.
★ From July to June 2024, rice exports from Pakistan increased by 60% to 60 lakh tonnes, in which the quantity of Basmati rice is 7.5 lakh tonnes.
★ In the last season, rice production in Pakistan was 98 lakh tons which can increase to more than 100 lakh tons this season.

★ Madhya Pradesh government has set a target of purchasing 46 lakh tons of paddy in the current Kharif season, registration will be done till October 4. So far 1.95 lakh farmers have registered.
★ According to the new rule, paddy will be given directly to the millers from the procurement center for milling.
★ Purchase of paddy at MSP started in Haryana. 46 thousand tons of paddy was purchased till October 02.
