Chhattisgarh Procurement of Pulses, Oilseeds Starts Dec 1

Raipur. It has been decided to begin government procurement of Kharif pulses (tur), mung, and urad (black gram), and oilseeds (peanuts) and soybeans (groundnuts) at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) in Chhattisgarh from December 1, 2025.
The Chhattisgarh Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Department will ensure the procurement of the above pulses and oilseeds from farmers under the Price Support Scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan).
The state Agriculture Minister has appealed to farmers to register their crop sowing area on the Unified Farmers Portal.
According to an official statement, government procurement of urad, mung, soybean, and groundnut at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will begin on December 1, 2025, and continue until February 28, 2026, while the procurement period for tur (tur) has been scheduled from February 15 to May 15, 2026.
The sowing of pulses and oilseeds crops for the Rabi season has begun in Chhattisgarh, and the procurement deadlines have been set. The government procurement period for mustard is from February 15th to May 15th, 2026, and for gram and lentils from March 1st to May 30th, 2026.
The Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister has advised farmers in the state that if they wish to avail the benefits of the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and government procurement,
they must register their crop area on the Integrated Farmer Portal with the nearest cooperative societies for the sale of mung, urad, arhar, soybean, and groundnut. If they face any difficulties, they should contact the field staff of the Agriculture Department.
