Coriander Market Report — Potential Upside During Diwali and Wedding Season
Due to domestic demand and the wedding season, coriander prices could rise by up to ₹1,000 per 100 kg by December. In the spot market, coriander is currently stable at around ₹8,000 per 100 kg and is expected to remain at this level over the next month, with a potential increase of about ₹1,000 per 100 kg by December.
Exporters and domestic buyers are currently adopting a cautious stance, but market conditions are expected to become supportive closer to Diwali. Exports for FY26 are projected at around 52,000 tonnes, while exports from April to July rose 11% to 23,447 tonnes.
In the Rabi season, the area under coriander in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh may decline as farmers opt for mustard and wheat instead, providing short-term support to prices. Currently, with roughly 2 lakh tonnes of carryover stock, prices are likely to remain stable over the next month but could increase by ₹400–₹500 per 100 kg in November–December.
