Due to the government shutdown, Monday being Columbus Day is a federal holiday. Therefore, the Export Inspections report, which is normally released Monday morning, will now be issued on Tuesday. The Crop Progress report will not be released this week due to the shutdown, although a Reuters survey estimates that 44% of the crop has been harvested so far.
According to AgRural, Brazil’s first corn crop planting was 45% complete as of last Thursday in the central-south region, ahead of 41% during the same period last year.
