On Wednesday, ICE cotton futures closed with gains of 30 to 99 points in nearby contracts. Crude oil futures rose by 60 cents to $58.55 per barrel for the day, while the US dollar index fell by $0.069 to 99.520. Markets will be closed on Thursday.
In The Seam’s online auction on November 25, a total of 6,457 bales were sold at an average price of 59.97 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index was up 25 points on Monday at 74.35 cents. ICE-certified cotton stocks were steady at 20,344 bales on November 25. The Adjusted World Price (AWP) was updated last week to 50.80 cents per pound, down 103 points from the previous week.
