Decline in international prices of pulses
Red Lentils (Price CNF $/ton):
★ Canadian red lentil prices remained stable, while Australian red lentil prices declined.
★ As of April 30, Canadian red lentils vessel prices remain unchanged at $565/ton, while container prices are at $615/ton.
★ Australian red lentil prices fell by $5 over the past week to $595/ton. On April 16, the price was $610/ton, meaning prices have declined by $15/ton so far.
★ Adequate stock of lentils is available in Australia and Canada, and stocks have also increased in India.
★ Due to high overseas stocks, imports have declined.
★ Both countries are awaiting higher price levels.
★ Considering the continuously rising stocks abroad, the possibility of a significant price rise remains limited.
