Decline in international prices of pulses
Kabuli Chana (Price CNF $/ton):
★ Exported Kabuli chana from India to Turkey (42–44 mm) increased by $15 from last week (April 23) to reach $1,200/ton, while prices in the UAE rose by $105 to $1,175/ton.
★ Meanwhile, 58–60 calibre Kabuli chana prices increased by $10–15, trading in the range of $980–$990/ton.
★ Due to tensions/conflict between Iran and the USA, Kabuli chana exports were affected, which had led to a decline in prices. However, as the situation is gradually normalizing, prices are now receiving support.
★ Compared to last year, Kabuli chana production is lower this year. If the geopolitical situation stabilizes further in the future, prices may receive additional support.
