Increase in Oilmeal Exports

According to the Solvent Extractors’ Association (SEA), India exported 371,000 tons of oilmeal in October 2025, which is 21% higher than the same month last year.
During April–October 2025, total exports stood at 2.464 million tons, up 3% compared to the same period last year.
De-oiled Rice Bran (DORB) Exports
After the Government of India lifted the export ban on 3 October 2025, DORB exports resumed. In October, India exported 14,589 tons, mainly to Vietnam and Nepal.
Rapeseed Meal: China Becomes the Largest Buyer
Due to strong demand from China, India exported 582,000 tons of rapeseed meal during April–October 2025, compared to only 14,886 tons in the same period last year.
Indian rapeseed meal is priced at USD 217 per ton, while Hamburg (Germany) prices are USD 244, giving India a competitive advantage.
Rise in Groundnut Meal Exports
Higher groundnut production over the past two years has boosted crushing and exports.
In October 2025, India exported 19,300 tons of groundnut meal, significantly higher than 7,823 tons last year.
According to SEA’s survey, groundnut acreage in Gujarat increased by 300,000 hectares, rising to 2.202 million hectares from 1.909 million hectares last year, with production estimated at 4.607 million tons.
