ICE cotton futures closed Wednesday’s session higher, with contracts gaining between 5 and 11 points. Crude oil futures fell by 10 cents per barrel to $61.05, while the US dollar index declined by 0.044 to 98.865.
The January 13 online auction by The Seam reported sales of 14,042 bales at an average price of 60.08 cents per pound. The Cotlook A Index rose by 55 points on January 13 to 75 cents.
ICE-certified cotton stocks were unchanged on Tuesday, with certified stocks remaining at 11,029 bales. The Adjusted World Price was updated on Thursday afternoon at 50.97 cents per pound, up 21 points from the previous week.
