International Pulses Market Update

Pea Market:

Global pea markets ended the week slightly weaker. Harvest in the northern hemisphere is now complete.

Although harvest pressure has eased, some farmers continue to sell as they believe prices have not yet reached their seasonal lows.

All grades of peas currently show no visible carrying charge, and prices are expected to remain mostly flat through early 2026.

Lentil Market:

Lentil prices remained largely steady during the week. Farmer selling and demand from exporters and processors were in balance.

North American lentil prices were mostly unchanged, while Australian lentils recorded a small gain.

With harvests completed, farmers are now focusing on winter preparations and planning for the next seeding season.

Chickpea Market:

International chickpea markets continued to trade within a narrow range. Kabuli chickpeas were steady to slightly firmer, while desi chickpeas showed mild recovery.

The improvement was supported by short-term demand from the Indian subcontinent and limited farmer selling.

Harvests in the northern hemisphere are complete, while Australia’s harvest has just begun, with exporters covering shipments scheduled through November.
