Haryana government raises state-advised sugarcane price by ₹15 per 100 kg
The Haryana government has increased the state-advised price (SAP) of sugarcane by ₹15 per 100 kg for the 2025–26 season (October–September).
According to the government, the price of early-maturing sugarcane varieties has been raised from ₹400 to ₹415 per 100 kg, while the price of late-maturing varieties has been increased from ₹393 to ₹408 per 100 kg.
The state-advised price is the rate announced by state governments, at which sugar mills are required to purchase sugarcane from farmers. Currently, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttarakhand are the states that implement SAP. This rate differs from the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) announced by the central government and varies from state to state.
Uttar Pradesh and Punjab have yet to announce their SAP for the 2025–26 season.
These announcements are expected by the end of October or early November.
