Red Chilli – Prices Unlikely to Decline
New Delhi. Market experts believe that there is little possibility of a decline in red chilli prices. Due to lower production and limited carryover stocks, prices are expected to remain firm during the current season. At present, the price of Teja red chilli is quoted at ₹193 per kg in Guntur mandi and ₹194 per kg in Khammam. According to sources, arrivals in the mandis are likely to start declining in the coming days, while purchases from China and Bangladesh are expected to increase. As a result, trade estimates suggest that the price of Teja chilli in the mandis may reach ₹220–225 per kg.
