USDA reported a private export sale of 334,000 metric tons of soybeans to China this morning through its daily announcement system.
NOPA data will be released on Thursday, with traders expecting total soybean crushings of 224.8 million bushels in December.
USDA’s Export Sales report will also be released on Thursday morning. Analysts are looking for soybean sales between 0.8 and 1.8 million metric tons for the week ending January 8.
Soybean meal sales during the same period are expected to be between 150,000 and 400,000 metric tons, while soybean oil sales are estimated at 0 to 26,000 metric tons.
China’s soybean imports in December were recorded at 8.04 million metric tons, up 1.3% from the same month last year.
