According to USDA, wheat export shipments totaled 302,096 metric tons (11.1 million bushels) in the week ending December 25. This was 52.47% lower than the previous week and 11.12% below the same week in 2024. Bangladesh was the top destination with 115,946 metric tons, followed by Thailand at 68,589 metric tons and the Dominican Republic at 44,311 metric tons. Since June 1, marketing year 2025/26 wheat exports have totaled 15.06 million metric tons (553.5 million bushels), which is now 22.02% higher than the same period last year.

Over the weekend, US President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky discussed peace talks to end the ongoing war with Russia. President Trump stated that they were close to an agreement, although some issues remain unresolved.
