खरीफ फसलों की बिजाई लगभग पूरी
★ कई क्षेत्रों में कटाई चालू, कुल बिजाई 1096.65 लाख हेक्टेयर पहुंची, जो गत वर्ष इसी अवधि के दौरान 1072.94 लाख हेक्टेयर थी।
★ धान, दलहन, तिलहन, गन्ना, मोटे अनाज बिजाई बढ़ी परन्तु कपास की घटी।
★ ऊंची कीमतों के कारण मक्का बिजाई रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर पहुंची। बिजाई गत वर्ष से 4.5% उछलकर 87.5 लाख हेक्टेयर में की यी जबकि सामान्य एरिया 76.96 लाख हेक्टेयर रहता है।
★ तुवर व मूंग की बिजाई बढ़ी परन्तु उड़द की घटी।
★ सोया बिजाई भी गत वर्ष के 123.83 लाख हेक्टेयर से बढ़कर 125.11 लाख हेक्टेयर, मूंगफली की 47.85 (गत वर्ष 43.75) लाख हेक्टेयर में की गयी।
★ तिल की बिजाई गत वर्ष के 12 लाख हेक्टेयर से घटकर 11.2 लाख हेक्टेयर में सिमटी।
★ अरंडी बिजाई गत वर्ष के 9.23 लाख हेक्टेयर से घटकर 7.67 लाख हेक्टेयर दर्ज की गयी।
★ पिछले 15-20 दिन से महाराष्ट्र, राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश, तेलानंगा, आंध्र प्रदेश में भारी बारिश दर्ज की गयी जिससे खरीफ फसलों को नुकसान की ख़बरें आने लगी। इन राज्यों में नुकसान का सर्वे हो रहा है।
★ PM आशा के तहत सरकार ने दलहनों व तिलहन खरीद के लिए 35 हजार करोड़ का बजट आवंटित किया।
★ PSS स्कीम के तहत दलहन, तिलहन व कोपरा खरीद की जाएगी।
★ पहले यह खरीद मात्रा 25% थी जिसे बढ़ाकर 40% किया गया, अब तुवर, उड़द, मसूर खरीद मात्रा पर कोई पाबंदी नहीं।

Sowing of Kharif crops almost complete
★ Harvesting underway in many areas, total sowing reached 1096.65 lakh hectares, which was 1072.94 lakh hectares during the same period last year.
★ Sowing of paddy, pulses, oilseeds, sugarcane, coarse grains increased but cotton decreased.
★ Due to high prices, maize sowing reached record levels. Sowing jumped 4.5% from last year to 87.5 lakh hectares, while the normal area is 76.96 lakh hectares.
★ Sowing of tuvar and moong increased but that of urad decreased.
★ Soya sowing also increased from 123.83 lakh hectares last year to 125.11 lakh hectares, groundnut was done in 47.85 (last year 43.75) lakh hectares.
★ Sesame sowing decreased from 12 lakh hectares last year to 11.2 lakh hectares.
★ Castor sowing decreased from 9.23 lakh hectares last year to 7.67 lakh hectares.
★ Heavy rains were recorded in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh for the last 15-20 days, due to which news of damage to Kharif crops started coming. Damage survey is being done in these states.
★ Under PM Asha, the government allocated a budget of 35 thousand crores for the purchase of pulses and oilseeds.
★ Pulses, oilseeds and copra will be purchased under the PSS scheme.
★ Earlier this purchase quantity was 25% which was increased to 40%, now there is no restriction on the purchase quantity of Tuvar, Urad, Masoor.
