Low pressure area likely to form over Lakshadweep and Arabian Sea

Thiruvananthapuram. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the southwest monsoon is currently stuck in Sultanpur,
Nautanwa in Uttar Pradesh, Panna, Narmadapuram and Khargone in Madhya Pradesh, Nandurbar in Maharashtra and Navsari in Gujarat, while during the next 2-3 days it will depart from more areas of the country.
The path of retrograde air flow will be cleared and the activity of the northeast monsoon will increase. A low pressure area is forming over Lakshadweep and the Arabian Sea, which is being closely monitored.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of this low pressure area flowing in the north-west direction away from the western coast, but it may get help in spreading across the entire peninsular (south) India by drawing air from the Bay of Bengal.
This may make the flow of air towards the east possible. According to the Meteorological Department, conditions have become favorable for the departure of southwest monsoon from the remaining parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and many other areas of Maharashtra during the next 2-3 days.
An auxiliary trough from the southwest Bay of Bengal is moving towards a cyclonic circulation under formation over Lakshadweep, which may deepen (dense) and turn into a low pressure area and reach southern Tamil Nadu and southern Kerala.
As a result, there is a possibility of good rainfall at wide places in Lakshadweep, various parts of Karnataka, Kerala-Mahi, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal.
Apart from this, there may be showers at some places in Rayalaseema, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Kerala and Mahi. Other southern states may receive less or normal rainfall at some places and torrential rain at other places.
