Maize International Market
★ According to the USDA, export deals of 1.65 million tonnes of maize were recorded from the U.S. in the week ending April 23. Total exports have now reached 53.4 million tonnes, 30% higher than last year.
★ Last week, Mexico booked the highest at 0.388 million tonnes, Colombia at 0.234 million tonnes, and South Korea around 0.2 million tonnes of maize export deals.
★ According to the NASS report, maize sowing in the U.S. has reached 25%.
★ South Korea issued import tenders for 65,000 tonnes of maize.

Maize Domestic Market
★ After a decline, the market has rebounded.
★ On April 1, Delhi–Uttar Pradesh bilty prices opened at ₹2250, which fell to ₹2100 by April 15. However, thereafter, market activity increased, and on April 27, Delhi (Bihar line) maize closed at ₹2300.
★ A similar trend was observed in mandis.
★ Gulabbagh, Purnea maize, which had dropped to a low of ₹1920 in April, has now risen to ₹2100.
★ The Telangana government announced maize procurement at MSP.
★ According to iGrain India, maize prices may see some further upside in the coming days.
