Malaysia Lowers Reference Price
★ Malaysia has reduced the reference price for crude palm oil (CPO) for June, bringing the applicable export duty down to 9.5%.
★ The reference price for June has been set at 3,926.59 ringgit per metric ton, down from 4,449.35 ringgit per ton in May, which had attracted the maximum export duty of 10%.
★ According to Malaysia’s export tax structure, a 3% duty is imposed when CPO prices fall between 2,250 and 2,400 ringgit per ton. ★ The duty increases progressively with rising prices, reaching a maximum of 10% when prices exceed 4,050 ringgit per ton.

★ Export tax will be leser by $14.24/ton (Indian Rupees 1,217.41/ton).
