नहीं बढेंगी खाद्य तेलों की कीमतें; खाद्य सचिव
★ खाद्यी सचिव ने सरकार की 100 दिनों की रिपोर्ट देते हुए कहा कि त्यौहारी सीजन के दौरान खाद्य तेलों की कीमतें स्थिर रहेंगी।
★ सरकार द्वारा खाद्य तेलों का आयात शुल्क बढाये जाने क बावजूद कीमतों पर विशेष असर नहीं पड़ेगा क्योंकि चालू वित्त वर्ष में 30 लाख टन खाद्य तेलों का आयात हो चूका है जो 45-50 दिन की खपत के बराबर है।
★ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजारों में भी खाद्य तेलों की कीमतें कमजोर।
★ 14 सितम्बर को सरकार ने क्रूड पाम तेल, डीगम सोया तेल, क्रूड सूरजमुखी तेल की ड्यूटी को 0% से बढ़ाकर 20% व रिफाइंड वेरायटी की 12.5% से बढ़ाकर 32.5% किया था ताकि सोया की कीमतों में आ सके सुधार।

★ Despite the government increasing the import duty on edible oils, there will be no significant impact on the prices because 30 lakh tonnes of edible oils have been imported in the current financial year, which is equal to 45-50 days of consumption.
★ Prices of edible oils are also weak in the international markets.
★ On September 14, the government increased the duty on crude palm oil, degum soya oil, crude sunflower oil from 0% to 20% and refined variety from 12.5% to 32.5% so that the prices of soya could improve.
