★ नेशनल ऑइल मिशन के तहत तिलहन उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए 10,103 करोड़ रुपए का आवंटन किया गया ताकि विदेशों से खाद्य तेलों की आत्मनिर्भरता घटे।
★ मिशन के तहत तिलहन उत्पादन जो 2022-23 के दौरान 390 लाख टन है को 2030-31 तक 697 लाख टन किये जाने का लक्ष्य है।
★ 2022-23 में घरेलू खाद्य तेलों का उत्पादन 127 लाख टन पहुंचा जिसे बढ़ाकर 2030 में 202 लाख टन करना है।
★ मिशन के लिए 40 लाख हेक्टेयर एरिया को टारगेट किया गया।
★ देश में औसतन 290 लाख टन में होती है तिलहन की बिजाई।
★ अगले 7 सालों में आयातित खाद्य तेलों पर आत्मनिर्भर जो 57% है को घटाकर 28% करने का प्लान किया गया।
★ नेशनल ऑइल मिशन 2030-31 के मुख्य अंश।
1. तिलहन का उत्पादन 290 लाख टन से बढ़ाकर 330 लाख टन किया जाना।
2. उत्पादकता 1353 किलो से बढ़ाकर 2112 किलो प्रति हेक्टेयर करना।
3. उत्पादन 390 लाख टन से बढ़ाकर 690 लाख टन पहुंचाना।
4. घरेलू उत्पादन 127 से बढ़ाकर 202 लाख टन किया जाना।
5. आयात 57% घटाकर 28% करना है जिसमें पाम ऑइल मिशन भी शामिल हैं।

★ सितम्बर में पाम तेल आयात में गिरावट की उम्मीद।
★ लगातार तीसरे महीने पाम तेल आयात घट सकता है।
★ अगस्त के मुकाबले पाम तेल आयात 34% घटकर 5.3 लाख टन रहने की उम्मीद।
★ सोया तेल का आयात भी 15% घटकर 3.88 लाख टन व सूरजमुखी तेल का 49% बढ़कर 1.4 लाख टन रह सकता है।
★ सितम्बर में कुल आयात अगस्त से 31% घटकर 10.6 लाख टन रहने की उम्मीद।
★ सितम्बर में सरकार ने खाद्य तेलों के आयात पर ड्यूटी बढाई थी जिसके फलस्वरूप भारत में आयात पड़तल हुई ऊंची, साथ ही इसी कारण से 1 लाख टन के सौदे भी हुए थे कैंसिल।
★ वैसे भी पिछले 2 सालों से खाद्य तेलों की डंपिंग हो रही थी।

★ Under the National Oil Mission, an amount of Rs 10,103 crore was allocated to increase oilseed production so that self-sufficiency on edible oils from abroad is reduced.
★ Under the mission, the target is to increase the oilseed production from 390 lakh tonnes during 2022-23 to 697 lakh tonnes by 2030-31.
★ In 2022-23, the production of domestic edible oils reached 127 lakh tonnes, which is to be increased to 202 lakh tonnes in 2030.
★ An area of 40 lakh hectares was targeted for the mission.
★ On an average, oilseeds are sown in 290 lakh tonnes in the country.
★ In the next 7 years, it has been planned to reduce self-sufficiency on imported edible oils from 57% to 28%.
★ Highlights of National Oil Mission 2030-31.
1. Oilseed production to be increased from 290 lakh tons to 330 lakh tons.
2. Productivity to be increased from 1353 kg to 2112 kg per hectare.
3. Production to be increased from 390 lakh tons to 690 lakh tons.
4. Domestic production to be increased from 127 to 202 lakh tons.
5. Import to be reduced by 57% to 28% which also includes Palm Oil Mission.

★ Palm oil import expected to decline in September.
★ Palm oil import may decline for the third consecutive month.
★ Palm oil import expected to decline by 34% to 5.3 lakh tons as compared to August.
★ Soya oil import may also decline by 15% to 3.88 lakh tons and sunflower oil may increase by 49% to 1.4 lakh tons.
★ Total imports in September are expected to fall by 31% from August to 10.6 lakh tonnes.
★ In September, the government had increased the duty on import of edible oils, as a result of which the import cost in India increased, and due to this reason, deals worth 1 lakh tonnes were also cancelled.
★ Anyway, dumping of edible oils was going on for the last 2 years.
