★ Lentil acreage in Australia continues to rise steadily. This year, the crop has been sown on 1.14 million hectares — the largest area ever — putting production on track to reach a new record.
★ Five years ago, Australia’s lentil production stood at 853,000 tonnes. In the past five years, it has nearly doubled, surpassing 1.7 million tonnes by 2025.
