News Capsule: FCI Has Supplied 7.7 Million Tonnes of Rice Under Various Schemes So Far
★ In the previous financial year, out of 4.63 million tonnes, 1.12 million tonnes of rice were supplied under social welfare schemes of various states, 2.0 million tonnes under the OMSS, and 1.3 million tonnes for ethanol production.
★ As of 1 April, the central pool holds 31.0 million tonnes of rice, excluding 31.5 million tonnes of paddy that is yet to be received from mills.
