★ In Canada, pea production for 2025-26 is projected to rise by about 19% to 3.56 million tonnes. Yellow pea output is expected to reach around 2.78 million tonnes, while green pea production may increase to 0.53 million tonnes. Other pea varieties are estimated at roughly 0.25 million tonnes.

★ Total supply is likely to jump 22% to nearly 4.1 million tonnes, supported by higher carry-in stocks and stronger production. Exports, however, are expected to remain steady at 2.2 million tonnes. With this sharp rise in supply, ending stocks are forecast to hit record levels, putting pressure on market prices. Average prices may fall by over 30%, with an estimated average of around USD 280 per tonne.

★ In the US, dry pea acreage is also set to increase. According to USDA estimates, area seeded in 2025-26 may rise by 21% to about 0.48 million hectares. With better yields expected, US dry pea production could climb 23% to 0.93 million tonnes.
