Moradabad. The Divisional Railway Manager of Northern Railway, Moradabad, in Uttar Pradesh, has sent a letter to all Commercial Inspectors and Commercial Supervisors (Goods) instructing them to ensure uniform loading of goods in railway wagons for a period of 30 days.

The letter states that the loading of goods in these wagons should be done in such a way that the weight of the loaded goods is evenly distributed across all axles of the wagon, preventing uneven loading. Often, excessive weight is loaded near the wagon doors, which poses a safety risk.

According to the letter, the guidelines issued by RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organisation) for goods loading must be strictly followed.

The loading of goods should be done in a manner that ensures uniform weight distribution across all parts of the wagon.

Since goods are usually loaded in sacks, proper stacking of the sacks is essential. The height of the sack stacks should be uniform, and the number of sacks in each section should also be consistent.

The letter further states that a two-minute video of the loading process should be made, ensuring good quality and clear visibility of each stage of loading.

The video should clearly show the loading of sacks, especially near the wagon doors. This video will be shared on the MB Goods WhatsApp group.

Commercial Inspectors and Supervisors have been instructed to provide necessary information regarding loading to the handling agents and laborers working at the terminal.

The need for conducting separate meetings for this purpose has also been emphasized. This campaign will continue for one month.
