The NOPA crush data is expected to be released on Wednesday, showing September’s crush figures. CONAB data will be published on Tuesday, providing Brazil’s soybean production estimates.
On Friday, President Trump announced a 100% tariff on Chinese goods effective November 1 and imposed export controls on critical software. Over the weekend, he said, “Don’t worry about China.” Markets showed a slightly positive tone to start the week.
According to AgRural, by Thursday, Brazil’s soybean planting was 14% complete, compared to 8% during the same period last year. China imported a total of 12.87 MMT of soybeans in September, up from 12.28 MMT in August and 13.2% higher than the same month last year. None of these imports came from the US, with most sourced from Brazil.
