Decline in prices of gram due to weak buying
New Delhi. During the current week, prices of gram declined due to profit booking at higher prices, increased selling and weak buying. Due to lack of demand for gram dal and gram flour, buying by millers in gram has remained limited, due to which fluctuations are being seen in the prices of gram. But sellers are also not willing to sell gram at lower prices. Due to which a good increase can be seen in gram when the demand increases. Due to the sluggish demand from dal millers, a decline of Rs 25 per quintal was recorded in the prices of Delhi gram this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7850/7875 and Rajasthan line Rs 7900/7975 per quintal at the end of the week.
Port
Due to the fall in the price of Desi Chana and weak buying, the prices of Mumbai Tanzania Chana fell by 50 rupees and Australia Chana by 50 rupees per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Tanzania 7200 rupees and Australia 7550 rupees per quintal at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to increase in selling and weak buying, the prices of Rajasthan Chana fell by 50/100 rupees per quintal this week and with this fall, the prices remained at Jodhpur 6500/7350 rupees, Jaipur 7950/8000 rupees, Bikaner 7400/7450 rupees, Kishangarh 7000/7300 rupees and Kota 6000/7350 rupees per quintal at the end of the week.
Maharashtra
Due to increased demand from dal millers, Maharashtra gram prices have registered a rise of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend became Solapur Rs. 6500/7850, Akola Rs. 7800/7900, Nagpur Rs. 7900, Udgir Rs. 6500/7300 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7600/7800 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices have registered a decline of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during this week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend became Ashoknagar Rs. 7300/7400, Katni Rs. 7750/7800 and Indore Rs. 7550/7700 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to strong demand from dal millers, Karnataka gram prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 50/100 per quintal this week and the prices at the weekend became Gulbarga Rs. 7800/8100, Bidar Rs. 5511/7668, Gadag Rs. 7038/7606 and Hubli Rs. 6486/7886 per quintal.
Others
Due to normal demand, Raipur gram prices remained stable at Rs. 7600/7750 per quintal at the weekend with a rise and fall of Rs. 50/100 per quintal during the current week. Due to weak buying, Kanpur gram prices declined by Rs. 100 per quintal this week and became Rs. 7775 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
Due to increased buying, prices of Gram Dal have increased by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 9100/9400, Bhatapara Rs. 9200/9400, Katni Rs. 9250, Gulbarga Rs. 9200/9500, Jalgaon Rs. 9300, Indore Rs. 9200/9500, Jaipur Rs. 9100 and Kanpur Rs. 8800/8900 per quintal.
