Decline in the prices of gram continues due to lack of customers
New Delhi. Due to sluggish demand, the buying of gram by dal millers has remained sluggish, due to which the prices of gram have declined. However, some demand increased during the weekend, due to which the prices improved. Due to unfavourable sales of gram dal and gram flour, the prices of gram have remained under pressure this week. Due to sluggish demand from dal millers, the prices of Delhi gram have declined by Rs. 125 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices of Madhya Pradesh line remained at Rs. 7500/7525 and Rajasthan line at Rs. 7550/7625 per quintal at the end of the weekend.
Port
Due to the fall in the price of Desi Chana and weak buying, the prices of Mumbai Tanzania Chana fell by Rs. 100 and Australia Chana also fell by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Tanzania Rs. 7100 and Australia Rs. 7350 per quintal at the end of the week.
Rajasthan
Due to increase in selling and weak buying, the prices of Rajasthan Chana fell by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this fall, the prices remained at Jodhpur Rs. 6500/7100, Jaipur Rs. 7650/7700, Bikaner Rs. 7200/7250, Kishangarh Rs. 6900/7100 and Kota Rs. 6000/6950 per quintal at the end of the week. Due to weak demand from dal millers, Maharashtra gram prices have fallen by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Solapur Rs. 6500/7500, Akola Rs. 7450/7500, Nagpur Rs. 7250/7500, Udgir Rs. 6000/7100 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7300/7500 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 7100/7300, Katni Rs. 7450/7500 and Indore Rs. 7500 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to weak demand, Karnataka gram prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the price at the weekend became Gulbarga Rs. 7600/7750, Bidar Rs. 6500/7373 and Gadag Rs. 6296/8244 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and weak demand, Raipur gram witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and the price became Rs. 7300/7400 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also witnessed a decline of Rs. 150 per quintal this week and became Rs. 7475/7500 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
Due to weak demand, prices of Gram Dal declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Rs. 8825/8925, Bhatapara Rs. 9000, Katni Rs. 9100, Gulbarga Rs. 9200/9300, Jalgaon Rs. 9100, Indore Rs. 9000/9200, Jaipur Rs. 8700/8750 and Kanpur Rs. 8600//8650 per quintal.
