With normal business, the price of paddy and rice fluctuated by 100-150 rupees.

New Delhi. There is a good increase in the production of Kharif paddy and the government has a huge stock of rice. The situation of supply and availability of rice in domestic markets remains smooth. Export performance is satisfactory while mainly Basmati variety of paddy is arriving in the markets. The arrival of non-Basmati paddy will start from October. Due to early cultivation in Punjab, the harvesting of new paddy can start from the second half of September.
Delhi
During the week from 26 July to 1 August, between 3 to 5 thousand sacks of paddy arrived daily in Delhi's Narela Mandi and due to good buying, the price of 1718 paddy increased by 131 rupees to 3831 rupees per quintal, but the price of 1847 fell by 40 rupees to 2960 rupees per quintal.
Chhattisgarh
On the other hand, the daily arrival of paddy in Bhatpara Mandi of Chhattisgarh was between 3-6 thousand bags and in Rajim Mandi it was between 5 to 8 thousand bags. The price of Mahamaya paddy in Bhatpara fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2000/2100 per quintal, while BPT paddy in Rajim increased by Rs 125 to Rs 2040 per quintal.
Uttar Pradesh
In Shahjahanpur of Uttar Pradesh, the daily arrival of paddy was 5-6 thousand bags, but only PR 13 saw good business, due to which its price improved by Rs 100.
Rajasthan
In Bundi Mandi of Rajasthan, the price of 1718 increased by Rs 50 and the price of 1847 increased by Rs 100 per quintal, but the daily arrival of paddy remained between 400 to 1000 bags. The paddy business remained sluggish in Kota.
Rice
As far as rice is concerned, traders and exporters generally showed less interest in its purchase, but some varieties did good business.
Delhi
In Delhi's Naya Bazar, the price of 1121 Sela, Sharbati Sela and 1718 Sela rice increased by Rs 100 per quintal, while the price of 1718 Steam fell by Rs 100 and Taj Sela by Rs 300.
Rajasthan
In Rajasthan's Bundi Mandi, the price of some varieties of rice fell by Rs 50-100, while the same rise was recorded in Haryana's Karnal Mandi.
Punjab/Karnataka
The price of Punjab's Amritsar 1509 Sela rice fell by Rs 150 to Rs 5750/5800 per quintal. The rice market in Karnataka's Raichur remained soft.
