Buyers of peas remained calm due to selling pressure
Kanpur. Due to availability of port peas and selling pressure, prices of peas declined during the current week as well. Due to increasing imports, the stock of peas in the market was increasing and buying remained sluggish, due to which there was pressure on prices. Due to increased selling by importers and sluggish buying, the prices of imported peas saw a decline of Rs 50 per quintal this week and the price remained at Mumbai Canada 3750/3800 rupees, Russia 3550 rupees and currency Canada 3600/3650 rupees and Russia 3500 rupees per quintal at the weekend. Due to lack of customers, Kanpur peas prices saw a decline of Rs 125 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs 3850 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, prices of Lalitpur peas also witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 3200/3500 per quintal at the weekend. Due to sluggish buying, Mahoba peas fell by Rs. 200 per quintal last week and remained at Rs. 3500/3600 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal was also observed in Mauranipur peas and the price remained at Rs. 3350/3450 per quintal at the weekend. Due to the impact of fall from all quarters and sluggish demand, Damoh peas registered a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 3500/3600 per quintal at the weekend.

Due to the fall in the price of peas and weak demand, the prices of peas witnessed a fall of Rs. 150 per quintal during the last week and the prices remained at Rs. 4250/4300 in Kanpur and Rs. 4400/4500 per quintal in Indore at the end of the week.
