Tuvar prices continue to decline as demand remains sluggish
Mumbai. Tuvar prices declined during the current week due to increased selling pressure and lack of customers. Tuvar dal prices remained on the decline due to almost no demand and buying by dal millers remained slow due to which pressure on tuvar prices remained. Due to increased selling pressure from importers, African tuvar prices at Mumbai Port witnessed a decline of Rs 150/200 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, Mozambique white remained at Rs 8500/8550, Gajari at Rs 8400/8450, Malawi at Rs 8000, Dodomo at Rs 8000 and Sudan at Rs 10600 per quintal. Similarly, Chennai Tuvar Lemon also witnessed a decline of Rs. 150/200 per quintal this week and with this decline, the price remained at Rs. 9700/9750 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to improvement in export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed an increase of $30 per ton this week and with this increase, the price reached $1195 per ton at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port price decline and demand remaining sluggish, Delhi Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 and Desi Tuvar also witnessed a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price of Lemon became Rs. 10150/10200, Maharashtra line Rs. 10700 and Karnataka line Rs. 10900 per quintal at the end of the week.
Maharashtra
Due to lack of customers in Tuvar dal, the buying of Tuvar by dal millers has remained completely sluggish. Due to which, Maharashtra Tuvar prices registered a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the prices at the weekend remained at Solapur Rs. 10200/10900, Akola Rs. 10750/11000, Nagpur Rs. 10900/10950, Hinganghat Rs. 9000/9800, Latur Rs. 10700/10820 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10700/10900 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increase in buying, Karnataka Tuvar prices registered an increase of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend became Gulbarga Rs. 10800/11429, Yadgir Rs. 10315/10515 and Talikot Rs. 8500/10600 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sluggish buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices remained at Rs. 11000/11200 for Katni, Rs. 8000/9000 for Jabalpur, Rs. 8000/9000 for Pipariya and Rs. 7701/9701 per quintal for Kareli at the weekend.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round fall and sluggish demand, Raipur tuvar witnessed a fall of Rs. 100 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 10900/11200 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur tuvar also fell by Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and remained at Rs. 9600 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal have fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the prices at the weekend stood at Delhi Fatka Rs. 15200/15800, Katni Fatka Rs. 14700/14900, Akola Rs. 15000/16300, Latur Fatka Rs. 15800/16000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 148000/15500 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 15000/15400 per quintal.
