One-sided decline in Tuvar continues due to weak demand

Mumbai. Due to increased availability of African Tuvar at the port and lack of customers, Tuvar is on a downward trend. Due to the slow sale of Tuvar dal, the buying of Tuvar dal by millers is limited, due to which there is pressure on prices. Import of African Tuvar is proving to be cheaper. With the new crop of Karnataka approaching, stockists have also increased the selling of Tuvar, due to which Tuvar prices can see a further decline. Due to increased selling pressure from importers and sluggish buying, African Tuvar prices at Mumbai Port witnessed a decline of Rs. 300/450 per quintal this week and the prices remained at Rs. 7750/7800 for Mozambique White, Rs. 7500/7600 for Gajari, Rs. 7350 for Malawi, Rs. 7400 for Dodomo and Rs. 10050/10100 per quintal for Sudan. Similarly, Chennai Tuvar Lemon also witnessed a decline of Rs. 525 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices remained at Rs. 8850/8900 per quintal at the end of the week.
Burma
Due to weak export demand, Burma Tuvar witnessed a decline of $ 45 per ton this week and with this decline, the prices remained at $ 1095 per ton at the end of the week.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port fall and lack of customers, during the current week, Delhi Tuvar Lemon fell by Rs. 400 and Desi Tuvar also fell by Rs. 400 per quintal and with this fall, the price at the weekend remained Lemon Rs. 9400/9450, Maharashtra Line Rs. 10100 and Karnataka Line Rs. 10200 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to sluggish demand for Tuvar dal, buying of Tuvar by dal millers has become very quiet. Due to which, Maharashtra Tuvar prices fell by Rs. 400/700 per quintal this week and the price at the weekend remained Solapur Rs. 10000/10400, Akola Rs. 9900, Nagpur Rs. 10000, Hinganghat Rs. 8500/9000, Latur Rs. 10200/10375 and Ahmednagar Rs. 10000/10200 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to sluggish buying, Karnataka tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 200/300 per quintal during the current week and with this increase, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 10800/11100, Yadgir Rs. 10531 and Talikot Rs. 10189 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to sluggish demand from pulses millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs. 400/500 per quintal during the current week and with this decrease, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 10200/10300, Jabalpur Rs. 8000/9400, Pipariya Rs. 7500/9300 and Kareli Rs. 4900/8000 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round decline and sluggish demand, Raipur Tuvar witnessed a decline of Rs 400 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs 10200/10500 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur Tuvar also declined by Rs 400 per quintal during the current week and remained at Rs 9200 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to sluggish demand, the prices of Tuvar Dal declined by Rs. 200/400 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Delhi Fatka Rs. 14850/15700, Katni Fatka Rs. 14300/14500, Akola Rs. 14400/15600, Latur Fatka Rs. 15800/16000, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 14500/15300 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 14500/14900 per quintal.
