As of Sunday, U.S. winter wheat planting reached 97%, matching the average pace. Emergence was reported at 87%, which is 2 points below the average. The final Crop Progress report of the year showed that 48% of the U.S. wheat crop is rated good/excellent, up 3 points from last week but 7 points below last year.
Export Inspections data showed 474,53 tons (17.44 million bushels) of wheat shipped during the week of November 20. This was 92.48% higher than the prior week and 29.68% above the same week last year. The Philippines was the top buyer with 88,074 tons, followed by Bangladesh with 56,890 tons and Mexico with 55,778 tons.
Total marketing year shipments have now reached 12.84 MMT (471.7 million bushels), up 19.65% from the same period last year.
Delayed Export Sales data for the week of 10/9 is expected to show corn sales of 350,000–650,000 tons.
