Winter wheat planting is expected to near completion in the coming weeks, as the next seven days are forecast to remain mostly dry across key growing regions.
For the current crop, SovEcon estimates production at 87.8 million metric tons, an increase of 0.6 MMT from the previous estimate.
According to FranceAgriMer, as of October 6, France’s winter wheat crop is 5% planted.
