At the annual Ag Outlook Forum, the USDA released its initial projections for the 2026 U.S. wheat crop. Planted acreage is estimated at 45 million acres, with production projected at 1.860 billion bushels and an average yield of 50.8 bushels per acre.
Friday morning’s Export Sales report is expected to show old crop wheat sales between 250,000 MT and 600,000 MT for the week ending February 12.
Monthly data from the International Grains Council showed global wheat stocks down 1 MMT from last month to 282 MMT, although still 19 MMT higher than a year ago.
