With better business, the price of lentils is getting stronger in Canada

Vancouver. Better business of lentils has started in the Canadian markets, which is indicating some increase and strength in the prices. It seems that the buyers' interest in buying red lentils has started increasing.

On the other hand, the price of thick green lentils has increased to a high of 60 cents per pound and at some places it is also being quoted at 61-62 cents.

The FOB farm price of small green lentils has reached 55 cents per pound.

Due to the renewed demand for red lentils, producers are confident of getting a better earning opportunity. Its price has also improved to 32-33 cents per pound. Producers who were earlier trying to stock up red lentils for sale in the coming year are now trying to sell some part of it, which clearly indicates that the current market price is attractive for them.

This year, lentil production has improved in Canada and its exportable stock has also increased. Earlier, the price of lentil was expected to remain low because there was a hope of good production in Australia,

but after the possibility of a huge fall in production due to extremely unfavorable weather there, the market in Canada has started to rise.

But there is a huge difference between the prices of red lentil and green lentil as before. When the price of red lentil was 29-30 cents per pound, the price of thick green lentil was 54-55 cents per pound. Now red lentil has reached 32-33 cents, while thick green lentil has started trading at 60 cents per pound.
