All India Mustard Production 2024-25 - Detailed Report: SEA
★ In the 2024-25 Rabi season, India's estimated mustard (rapeseed-mustard) production is expected to reach 115.16 lakh tonnes. ★ The total sown area has expanded to 92.15 lakh hectares, indicating a possible increase in mustard production this year.

State-wise Production Details:
★ Rajasthan remains the largest mustard-producing state in India, with 34.74 lakh hectares of cultivated land and an estimated production of 52.03 lakh tonnes.
★ Madhya Pradesh has sown mustard on 14.86 lakh hectares, with an estimated production of 14.66 lakh tonnes.
★ Uttar Pradesh has cultivated mustard on 14.23 lakh hectares, with a projected production of 15.60 lakh tonnes.
★ Haryana has 7.14 lakh hectares under mustard cultivation and boasts the highest productivity at 1723.14 kg/ha, leading to an estimated production of 12.30 lakh tonnes.
★ West Bengal has cultivated mustard on 6.83 lakh hectares, with an estimated production of 6.79 lakh tonnes.
★ Gujarat, despite a smaller cultivation area, has the highest productivity, with an estimated total production of 5.38 lakh tonnes.
★ The combined production of Jharkhand, Assam, and other states is expected to be 8.39 lakh tonnes.
★ This significant production increase is expected to positively impact the mustard oil industry, ensuring better availability and potential price stability for consumers.
