But the future is bearish
New Delhi. Recently, the prices of big cardamom have risen by 40/50 rupees per kg. However, this rise has not come due to demand but due to the deteriorating political situation in Nepal. Sources say that due to vigilance on the borders, the import of big cardamom from Nepal has stopped. Due to which stockists have started quoting higher prices. But after the situation in Nepal becomes normal, prices are expected to fall. Because during the current season, there is news of more production of big cardamom in not only the country but also in Nepal compared to last year. Currently, the arrival of new goods has started at the consumption centers along with the markets of the producing centers. Big cardamom is produced in the country in Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, big cardamom is also produced in Nepal. Due to low consumption in Nepal, most of the goods are consumed in the Indian markets.
Rise in prices
During the current week, the prices of big cardamom have increased by 40/50 rupees per kg. Currently, the prices in Delhi market have increased to 1500/1510 rupees per kg. With the arrival of new goods at the production centers, the prices started falling and in the last few days, the prices in Delhi market have come down to 1450/1460 rupees. Sources say that the market will remain strong for now. But with the start of imports in the coming days, the arrival of new big cardamom will also start increasing in the country's markets. Due to which the prices will fall again. Trade sources believe that looking at the current situation, it is being expected that at the time of pressure of arrival, the price of big cardamom can become 1400/1425 rupees.
Import decreased
Due to low production for the last two years, the prices of big cardamom were high in Nepal. Due to which the import was also decreasing.
